The HSA have prepared Guidelines on First Aid at Places of Work as part of the Guide to the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations. Since the 1st June 2018, the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) only recognises the Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) First Aid Response (FAR) training standard as meeting the needs of occupational first aid in workplaces.
However, any QQI, OFA training completed prior to 1st June 2018 will be recognised for the full 2 years duration from the date of training.
Safety Matters will provide First Aid Response training tailored to your business as well as all the PHECC Recognised qualifications. Our instructors are qualified and experienced Emergency Medical Technicians and First Aid and Emergency First Aid Responder Instructors who each have over 20 years experience of working in emergency first aid environments. They will provide you with the most up to date and apt first aid training skills for your organisation. First Aid is a life skill and will benefit you in your home environment as well as work environment.
