Paediatric First Aid Training

Paediatric First Aid Training Course sets out to train participants on life saving skills in relation to children generally up to the age of 13.  This course is designed to give participants, who have no previous experience of first aid with children, the required skills to deal with a first aid or medical emergency before professional help arrives.

Paediatric First Aid Training Course Content:

Learners will gain an insight into the following topics:

  • Asthma
  • Allergies/Allergic reactions
  • Infant and Child choking
  • Infant and Child CPR
  • High temperature – Convulsions
  • Bleeding & Wounds
  • Broken bones & Fractures
  • Poisoning
  • Bites & Stings
  • Seizures
  • Chickenpox/Meningitis signs and symptoms
  • Head Injuries
  • Q & A at end

On successful completion of this course a Safety Matters Certificate will be issued.

 Refresher Training is recommended after two years.
