Evacuation Chair Training

Evacuation Chair Training Course

This Evacuation Chair Training Course provides learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely assist and evacuate individuals with reduced mobility during an emergency situation.

In the event of a fire, power outage, or other emergency, lifts may become unusable, making stairway evacuation essential. This course teaches participants how to safely operate an evacuation chair and support the evacuation of wheelchair users, injured persons, or anyone unable to use stairs independently.

The training covers emergency evacuation procedures, safe handling techniques, risk awareness, communication during emergencies, and the correct use of evacuation chair equipment. Learners will also understand the importance of planning and coordination during emergency evacuations to help ensure the safety of all building occupants.

This course is suitable for fire wardens, emergency response teams, healthcare workers, facilities staff, carers, security personnel, teachers, hospitality staff, and anyone responsible for assisting mobility-impaired persons during an evacuation.
