Pancake Tuesday is the perfect time to get creative in the kitchen and whip up a batch of delicious, fluffy pancakes! From classic buttermilk pancakes to unique and tasty variations.
Buttermilk pancakes are the classic breakfast pancake, loved by all and the perfect pairing with sweet or savoury toppings. They’re easy to make, light and fluffy, and most importantly – incredibly delicious!
To make buttermilk pancakes, whisk together 1 cup of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, ½ teaspoon of baking soda, ½ teaspoon of sugar and ¾ teaspoon of salt. In a separate bowl combine 1 ¼ cup of buttermilk with egg and melted butter. Whisk together wet ingredients until fully combined then add to dry ingredients. Mix until just combined before cooking on a lightly greased griddle.
