DESCRIPTION:Day 1 – Online Training Course\nDay 2 – Practical Classroom Sessions & Assessments with our in-house trainers\n\nThis course is perfect for anyone who is required to act as a first aid responder in their place of work\, community group\, voluntary organisation and indeed in the home. It is also a fantastic introduction to providing emergency care for various different scenarios\, performing CPR and using a defibrillator. \nThe First Aid Response Refresher course covers all of the occupational first-aid requirements for places of work as outlined by the Health and Safety Authority. Under the Safety\, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007\, there is a requirement on employers\, based on a risk assessment\, to have a sufficient number of adequately trained first-aiders in the workplace. The specific requirements for first aid provision at work depends on several factors including the size of the workplace\, the numbers employed\, the hazards arising\, dispersal of employees and access to medical services.After the participants complete the online course material \, they will complete a full day of practical sessions and assessments with us in person.

DESCRIPTION:Mental Health First Aid is the help offered to someone developing a mental health problem\, experiencing the worsening of an existing mental health problem\, or in a mental health crisis. The first aid is given until appropriate professional support is received or until the crisis resolves. \nDuring this course\, you will build your knowledge and awareness of mental health\, learn to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues\, and understand how stigma can be a barrier to open conversations in the workplace. \nMental Health First Aid teaches participants how to recognise the signs and symptoms of mental health problems and understand what sort of help has been shown to be effective. Participants will learn a framework for communication\, how to offer and provide initial help\, and how to guide a person towards appropriate treatments and other supportive help.
